concept: the pavilion for lollapalooza is based on the flow of information to create a network of nodes and hub. the main hub is connected to event nodes throughout the site via an invisible network of smartphone technology. the hub serves as the gateway to the event and displays messages of positive actions (such as recycling and voter registration) taking place across the network of nodes. the form of the hub is also informed by the number of messages arriving from each direction, changing in height based on the activity level at each node. the hub responds to invisible input and generates a formal output.
