The client wanted a clean modern kitchen to complement a rural farm house. The solution is to transform its character through a merging of rustic qualities in millwork design and hardware with modern finishes and stainless steel appliances. A white carrera marble-topped 11-foot island becomes the centerpiece of the kitchen as it ties the white perimeter cabinets to the center and visually grounds the space where most of the social activity will occur. it serves as baking surface, dining table, dining buffet, and central furniture piece for often impromptu kitchen gatherings.
